I had been so determined to leave all the side jobs behind and really dive into being a full time photographer but tbh the work was not flowing in at rapid speed. I had a few years of experience under my belt but I was not dominating the google rankings and the social media world was a little too big. Finding a person like me was like finding a needle in a haystack. When I moved to the beach in 2010, I said yes to a guy that was looking for another photographer to take on some of his over flow work. 

but that additional income would later fund my travels, pay for updated gear and most importantly plunge me into a new career path. Yep, I said goodbye to my part time job in retail (praise Jesus) and began taking as much work as Ron from Shore Shooters could throw at me. 

Ron kept finding new markets for his highly booked, tourist based photography business to thrive and I kept meeting and actively searching for photographers with talent. Most times they were just like me. They had all the skill, but so many of the challenges that creatives face. Before you know it, Ron is using me in a manager sense. He's asking me to create a brand specific way of shooting and develop relationships with photographers all over the Gulf Coast. Although I was now on his payroll, I was still trying to find myself in my personal style and juggle being in this new role. Then I survived a crazy  car accident...

In 10 short years I had become a partner in a very successful business. We were now operating in over 15 cities throughout 6 states. And guess what? We are NOT stopping there. After my accident I realized that I'm alive to fulfill God's purpose for my life. I truly believe that is to share this opportunity with every photographer that needs it.

Being a photographer is definitely about being your own boss and building your own brand, but when it come to making dollars, the responsibility  doesn't all have to fall on your shoulders. The companies that we own are designed to fill in your schedule's gaps while you're out building your brand.
